  Buried at Quinney Cemetery (Elyard Cemetery) Calumet County, WI. The Chilton library, where a woman has put a notebook of cemeteries on the shelves, with all kinds of extra little articles. There was a story on William Welch's tombstone page. William Welch - 93 years old. "The late Orin Meyer County Agent said there was a legend about the elderly man being so mean that when he was buried the "mourners" heaped stone upon his grave so that he would not be able to come back to the land of the living! I can attest to the neat pile of stone, however, the township workers have since removed all except the broken tombstone." written by Ginny Kesler
