  Schmitz, VirginVirginia Schmitz, of Kaukauna, age 76, passed away at the Appleton Medic al Center following a brief illness. Virginia was born in Kaukauna on Nove mber 13, 1929, daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Schomisch) Schaef er. On June 14, 1952, she married Lawrence Schmitz in Kaukauna; he preced ed her in death in September of 2000.Virginia is survived by two sons: Robert (Melanie) Schmitz of Plover and t heir daughter Sarah; and George (Linda) Schmitz of Kaukauna and their chil dren Tenysha (Marcus) Van Den Bogaert and Randel Schmitz; a great-granddau ghter, Kileigh Van Den Bogaert; a sister, Theresa (Charles) Van Eyck of Da rboy; and two sisters-in-law: Catherine Schaefer of California and Mary Sc haefer of Kaukauna. She will also be missed by her feline companion, Tippy -Toe.Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2000, a s on Lawrence in 2003, and by brothers Charles, Ferdinand, and Cecil.The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home in Kimbe rly from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2006.
