  David Ziegler "Ziggie" Please help us celebrate the life of David, who went to heaven on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, just 13 days short of his 69th birthday. God took Dave to be with his "buddy" and father-in-law: Harold, to a place where there is no more knee pain, dripping nose, or COPD. David loved four wheeling, deer hunting, wood crafting, gardening, long drives, vacationing up North, cooking, game shows, and watching westerns, especially Blazing Saddles. David had great math and drawing skills which he would use to make almost anything he had in his mind. David mostly loved being with his family, friends, and the puppies. We will truly miss this great man, loving and protecting husband and father, and the "go to guy." Many wonderful memories and laughs will be cherished and never forgotten from the stories that Dave told, all ending with "the whole ball of wax." Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Cheryl; and the girls: Zoie and Shilo; a son: Chad (Dawn); step grandson: Levi; daughter: Nikki; granddaughter: Aria; step granddaughter: Desiree; sister: Shirley Stevens; sisters- and brothers-in-law: Karlene Ziegler; Robert Yandre, Ronnie (Sharon) Nollenberg, Connie (Dennis) Hedtke, Debra Geiger, and Tina (Scott and Elise) Wagner; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Lonnie (Zerkle) Ziegler; father- and mother-in-law: Harold and Ervie Nollenberg; step son: David Wohlrabe; step grandson: Jade Wholrabe; and siblings: Merle Ziegler and Jean Yandre. To abide with David's wishes, no funeral or visitation will be held. Until we meet again, "catch ya on a flip flop Pilgrim!" "sacre le bleu!" He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cheryl and two children, daughter, Nicole Ziegler, of Phoenix, AZ and son, Chad Ziegler and his wife, Dawn of New London, and a sister, Shirley Stevens. A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held on April 5, 2014, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 601 East Glendale Ave, Appleton, with visitation at 11 a.m., service at 11:30 a.m., Pastor Paul Brinkman officiating.
