  Peter (Pete) J. DeStarkey, 65, lost his battle to cancer on January 27 in the comfort of his home. He was born January 13, 1950 to the late Don DeStarkey and Della VandenHeuvel (DeStarkey). He served as a decorated Veteran in the Vietnam War. Pete brought his family to Wyoming for 31 wonderful years. There he built 2 beautiful log homes for his family. Pete's passion was feeding the wildlife in his backyard. Suvivors include his wife Patti (Pat) Jean DeStarkey; children, Michelle (Doug) Vanderwalker, Rochelle Costello, Tom Williquette; grandchildren, Brad Little, Joe Little, Brittany Little, Jacob Vanderwalker, Laura Vanderwalker, Felicia Douglas, James Douglas, Cody Douglas, Taelor Elmore; brothers and sisters Ellen (Rick) Farr, John (Debbie) DeStarkey, Roger (Marybeth) DeStarkey, Rusty (Lori) DeStarkey, Nick (Cheryl) DeStarkey, Terri (Pat) Ryan, LeAnne Kobylinski, Kevin (Cheryl) DeStarkey, Mike DeStarkey, Mary DeStarkey, Janet Parker; his dog Jack DeStarkey and many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Della DeStarkey; brother David DeStarkey; in-laws Gerald Westcott and Ruby Peters; brother-in-law Brian Kobylinski; grandparents Emil and Ellena DeStarkey. A celebration of his life will be held at Riverside Alliance Church 628 N. Main, Oconto Falls, Wisconsin on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Service will be held at 4pm.
