  John A. Selig, 44, Appleton, a long time resident of Brewster Village, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007. John was born to Ronald and Karen (Davis) Selig on May 28, 1963. John was born early, leaving him with Cerebral Palsy. He was never able to walk. Ronald remarried Joyce Fields so John had a new mother for thirty-four years. John loved polkas and animals, especially Max, Maggie and Symba, who are Brittney and Tyler's dogs. He was a Packers Fan and loved wrestling. John is survived by his father and mother, Ron and Joyce Selig; sister Tabby (Brian) Balke; niece Brittney Balke and nephew Taylor Balke; stepbrother Michael (Susan) Centner and family, Uncle Tom (Jeanne) Selig and family, and many cousins. John was preceded in death by his birth mother, Karen; grandparents: Albert and Maryann Selig, John and Margarite Davis and Elsie Fields; Aunt Joan Pruitt; Uncles:John Davis and Russell Selig. The family would like to express a special thank you to the wonderful people who took care of John at Brewster Village: Father Falk, Don and Joan Wetzel, Sister Betty, Dan and Kay, Chaplin John, the Hospice nurses, Denise and all his family at Brewster Village. Funeral services for John will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday October 20, 2007, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of mass. Private family burial will be at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
