  PIONEER RESIDENT DIES AT DEER CREEK Peter Pelky, 81, Was Inhabitant of Valley District for 62 Years Special to Post-Crescent Deer Creek - Peter Pelky, a, pioneer settler and citizen, died at 2:15 Wednesday afternoon at his farm home here. Pelky had lived la this sectionof the state for 62 years. He was born May 22, 1850 in St Sacair, Canada, and came to Fond du Laec with his brother in 1869. Shortly after this Mr. Pelky went to Maple Creek trhere he married Miss Mathlda Suprise in 1870. The couple made their first home on a farm near Bear Creek where they lived for several years. Mr. Pelky owned a store in Bear Creek for many years rafter the first farm was sold. Later the Pelkys moved to another farm in 189S, the site of the present Pelky home is near Deer Creek. After Mrs. Pelky's death, John Pelky, a son, moved to the farm with his father. Survivors include eight sons, four daughters, 51 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. The sons are Peter, Joseph, Charles, Eli, Isaac and John of Deer Creek, Edgar of Shiocton and Louis of New London. The daughters are Mrs. Saul Roberts of Deer Creek, Mrs. John Grain of New London, Mrs. Noe Ritchie of Maple Creek and Mrs. Edward Kelpensky of Appleton. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Mary church wth the Rev. Father Alt in charge. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
