  James W. "Jim" Blazek, age 52, passed away Wednesday March 21, 2007, after 9 years of struggling with esopha-geal cancer. He was born on October 22, 1954, the son of Wenzel and Pearl (Feistel) Blazek in Appleton. He is survived by his two children: Adam and Alicia and granddaughter Kailee Blazek and their mother, Debi Becken; his father Wenzel; his brother, Bob; his sister, Nancy (Warren) Dietz; special nieces and nephews: Mark (Sue), Mike (Michelle), Marcia, and Shelley Dietz; his former wife, Linda and her children, Brent, Drew, and Nick Bendixen; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl; and an infant son, Christopher. He was employed at Miller Electric for over 33 years. Jim enjoyed golf in the Misfits League, dance, travel, fishing and spending time at the cottage on Loon Lake. He also really enjoyed bowling and bowled a perfect 300 game. He belonged to bowling leagues for couples, singles, and the Knights of Columbus. He was a coach and coordinator for the Junior Bowling League at Sabre Lanes. Jim also belonged to the Knights of Columbus and was a Past Grand Knight. Funeral services for Jim will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at 5 p.m., with Rev. Tom Farrell officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund is being established.
