  MIDDLETON - Theodore R. "Ted" Sanders, age 68, of Middleton, died on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at his home. He was born on Feb. 20, 1934, in Buchanan Township, the son of Edmund and Mathilda (Jansen) Sanders. Ted served in the United States Army. He worked as a field engineer for the Burroughs Corp. for many years. After retirement, Ted worked part-time for Fish Building Supplies and Dorn Hardware. He was a former member of the Middleton Fire Department and the Diocesan Choir. Ted enjoyed fishing, spending time with his friends and helping people. He is survived by four daughters, Liz (Vince) Hellenbrand of Mazomanie, Sarah Sanders of Chicago, Mary (Joe) Day of Madison, and Marge (Craig) Lorfeld of Middleton; six grandchildren, Colleen and Peter Hellenbrand, Jackson and Lukas Day and Rebecca and Matthew Lorfeld; a brother, Edmund "Jay" (Mary Lou) Sanders of Kaukauna; a sister-in-law, Ellie Sanders of Kaukauna; and several nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dan Sanders. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. A private family burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
