  Tuchscherer, Barbara Sara Barbara Sara (Mullen) Tuchscherer on April 3, 2007, Barbara Sara (Mullen) Tuchscherer was gently lifted up on eagle's wings and placed in the palm of God's hand.She was born on June 15, 1934, in Appleton, to the late John E. and Margaret K. (Stark) Mullen. She was united in marriage to her adoring husband, Robert Lawrence Tuchscherer, on November 5, 1955, and resided in Appleton for most of their lives until a recent move to Menasha. Barbara was a brilliant woman of many talents. She served her community as a registered nurse for more than forty years, most of them at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. She completed her BSN in 1979 and a Master's Degree in Public Health Administration in 1984. She loved all types of family gatherings, especially those on the pontoon. She enjoyed fishing, Packer football games, walks with her little Trinket and playing bridge with her many friends. Her spicy Irish side taught us that time with family and friends is the most important thing of all. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Appleton and was also an active member with the Kimberly American Legion Aux #60 and the Kimberly Homemakers. She is survived by her husband and soul mate of 51 years; four children, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. An extraordinary mother, she was always the wind beneath our wings: Dr. Mary Tuchscherer (partner Joy Zasadny), John (Diane) Tuchscherer, Ellen Tuchscherer (Joel Heinz) and Thomas (Roxanne) Tuchscherer. Ten Grandchildren: Sara (Brad) Schumann, Steven (Jessica) Heinz, Sean Heinz, Kristen Tuchscherer, Andrew Tuchscherer, Joseph Feistel, Jeffrey Feistel, Anthony Tuchscherer, Savannah Burow, and Jason (Chasney) Diem. Two great-grandchildren: Ann Marie Schumann and Lucas Diem. Two sisters: Peggy (Earl) Holverson and Mary (Gene) Berce. One brother: Robert (Ruth) Mullen and one sister-in-law June Mullen. She was preceded in death; by her parents and her brothers John and William Mullen. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at AMC Oncology - you know who you are - YOU ROCK! Love, The Tuchscherer Clan. Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Appleton from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2007. Burial will be held privately at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Your Love is like an island in life's ocean, vast and wide, A peaceful quiet shelter From the wind and rain and tide. Above it like a beacon light Shone faith and truth and prayer; And through the changing scenes of life, I find a haven there.
