  Passed away on Jun 14, 2011 James Jim K. Kirking, 59, of Mundelein, IL, formerly of Cashton, WI, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. Jim was born September 15, 1951, to Lester and Ramala (Schwellenbach) Kirking, in Viroqua, WI. He is a 1969 graduate of Cashton High School. Jim worked as a conductor for Metra for over 40 years. He built many relationships with his passengers and made their experience a more social event when Jim was there. Jim was also a proud Green Bay Packer Fan. Jim treasured and loved his family. He cherished times spent with his children and grandchildren; looked forward to coming home to Cashton to see his mom and family; and treasured adventures he took with his wife, Debbie. Jim was a happy person who always put others needs before his own. He loved to see smiles on everyones faces and his presence made people feel good when he was around. He was a true man; bold, strong, caring, hard-working, loving and happy. Jims seven siblings would say he was an excellent role model and the best brother anyone could ever ask for. Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away, was a quote that Jim lived by. His spirit will always be with us and he will never be forgotten. Jim is survived by his wife Debra (Rezin); his children, Cory (Carla) Kirking and Nicole (John) Burns; his mother, Ramala Kirking of Cashton, WI; grandchildren Trevor, Gianna, Brett and Kaitlyn; his siblings Karen (Jerry) Green, Donna (Gary) Peterson, Lester Sonny (Jeannie) Kirking, Kevin (Kathy) Kirking, Cathy (Bill) Meyers; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim is now re-united with his father, Lester and brothers, Francis and Donny. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday, June 20, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cashton, WI. Father John Parr and Father Richard Dickman will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visitation in Mundlein, IL, Saturday, June 18, 2011, from 2:00 6:00 p.m. at the Kristan Funeral Home. Visitation will be held in Cashton, Sunday, June 19, 2011, starting with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held, Monday 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 at the funeral home. The Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
