  Richard A. Ebenhoe, age 80, of Appleton, passed away Monday December 4, 2006, at Franciscan Care Center. Dick was born March 18, 1926, in Brillion, Wisconsin, the son of the late Wenzel and Agnes (Kocourek) Ebenhoe. He has resided in Calumet, and Outagamie counties all of his life. On October 18, 1958, he was united in marriage to Muriel Vanderheiden of Lena, Wisconsin, sharing 48 years together. Dick was an accountant and was formerly employed by Badger Tissue Mills and Thilmany Paper Co. He also was employed by the Town of Menasha as office manager and accountant for Sanitary District #4. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and the Fox Valley Regional Group of the Horseless Carriage Club of America. Dick was a veteran serving with the US Army in Korea. He also was a member of VFW Post # 2778 of Appleton and Appleton Unit #18 of the Disabled American Veterans. Dick enjoyed antique cars, traveling (especially long car tours), bowling, golf, and spending time with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Muriel; a daughter, Mary Jo (Tom) Smith, of Greenville and their children Andrea and Dean, and a son, David (Terry) Ebenhoe of Bakersfield, CA, and their children Justin and Benjamin; two sisters: Delores (Norbert) McHugh of Appleton and Marcella Bornemann of Green Bay; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by five brothers Lawrence, Edward, Elmer, Eugene, and his twin brother Joseph, also by a sister Mary Prentice. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, December 7th, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, corner of Glendale and McDonald Sts, Appleton, with Fr, Gerald Falk officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Brillion. Friends may call at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel from 4:00-8 p.m. Wednesday, and then directly at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday, until the time of the service. The Parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral chapel. The VFW passby will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. A Memorial fund has been established.
