  Kobs, Carlton A. Carlton A. Kobs, age 74, of Winneconne, WI, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, March 22, 2005 at his home. He was born on January 15, 1931 in Appleton, WI, the son of the late Arthur and Viola (Bierman) Kobs. Carlton honored his country by enlisting in the U.S. Army and serving during the Korean War. He married Sandra Befus on July 25, 1964 in Oshkosh, WI where they made their home until moving to Winneconne in 1971. Carlton was employed with the Sanitation Department for the City of Oshkosh from 1965 until 1974. He was a member of St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church of Winneconne. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kobs of Winneconne; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Scott Olds of Oshkosh; one son, Trevor Kobs of Winneconne; his grandchildren, Kira, Kaleigh, and Brady Olds; his sister, Ruth Bierman of Appleton; and a number of nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Howard and two sisters, Doris Oakley and Marian Ashman. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Winneconne, with Rev. Mark Albrecht and Rev. John Covach officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh, WI. Friends and relatives may call at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne on Friday, March 25th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. where a Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of services.
