  Veronica M. Kamps, age 87, of Appleton, died on Thursday, December 13, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Veronica was born on June 1, 1920, to the late Earl and Anna (Steidl) Buchman. Veronica graduated from Hortonville High School in 1938 and from the St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac in 1945. For most of her career, Veronica was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She married Frank "Frozz" Kamps on November 24, 1956, in Hortonville; he preceded her in death on March 16, 1978. Her Catholic faith was very important to her; Veronica was a charter member of St. Bernard Church and was active in the parish for her entire life. Veronica enjoyed league golfing at Winagamie Golf Course, gardening and was an avid Packers fan. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen (Tom) Henderson, Denver, Colorado; her son, Mark (Karin) Kamps, Fond du Lac; her daughter, Patricia Kamps, Grayslake, Illinois; her seven grandchildren, Alysha, Caitlin, Brittney, Patrick, Maureen, Sarah and Rachel; her sister, JoAnn (Ed) Schwarz, Hortonville; her brother Earl (Babe) Buchman, Black Creek; her brother-in-law, Jack Lammers, Shiocton; and her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Lammers and her brother, Fred (Jo) Buchman. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2007, at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W. Pine Street, Appleton, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a Parish Prayer and Scripture Service at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. and a Rosary Service at St. Bernard Church on Monday at 9:30 a.m. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Anne Ramsey for her loving friendship.
