Bernard A. Benzschawel, 76, of 3392 330th Ave., Town of Edson, went to enter eternal life on March 3, 2001 in Chippewa Falls.Bernard was born in the Town of Thorp on Feb. 28, 1925, the son of Jose ph and Anna (Micke) Benzschawel.He grew up in the Thorp area and on May 29, 1948 he was united in marria ge to Lorraine Foster at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stanley. They liv ed and farmed in the Town of Edson. Lorraine passed away in 1977.On April 1, 1978 he married Marion (Licht) Schneider at St. Joseph's Catho lic Church in Boyd. They resided in the Town of Edson.Bernard had farmed and was a well known auctioneer all of his life. Besid es his grandchildren, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
