John Geving John William Geving, age 43, of New Richmond passed away March 27, 2009, in an automobile accident. He was born on Dec. 30, 1965, in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. John was a 1984 graduate of New Richmond High School. He recently graduated from Brown College with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He was preceded in death by his infant nephew, Tyler John Geving. John is survived by his loving wife, Toni (Decknadel) Geving; daughter, Brooke Geving; parents, John "Jack" Geving and Ann Vanderhyden-Geving-Lindstrom; stepmother, Cheryl "Shari" Geving; siblings, Jeff (Karla), Julie (Todd) Bloom, Jill (Tom) Steel, Dan (Renee) Geving; and his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Alyx, Megan, Michael, Allie; in-laws, Louise Decknadel; Toni's three brothers, two sisters and her nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his special friends and extended family, Bill Miller, Mike "Gruntlet" Grunlien, Tim Johnson, Carl Ziller, Tony Zimmerman and Joel Branjord. John was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go hunting muskie. A celebration of John's life will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond. A gathering will be held an hour and a half prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will follow at Immaculate Conception. Arrangements are being handled by Cullen Crea Funeral Home, New Richmond, 715-246-2667.
