  Mrs. Robert Bootz (Kathryn L. Van Lieshout) "Kate" 922 Roosevelt Street Kaukauna Age 80, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2000 at St. Paul Home. Kate was born in Kaukauna on March 2, 1920, daughter of the late William and Katherine (Kettenhoven) Van Lieshout. On May 3, 1940, she married Robert Bootz in Kaukauna. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1983. Kate was employed for over twenty years by the Kaukauna Public School System. She was a lifelong and active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna and was a member of the Fox Valley Golf Club. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and playing cards. Survivors include two sons: Robert (Jeanne) Bootz, Waupaca; and Peter (Cathy) Bootz, Kaukauna; two daughters: Barbara (James) Sanderfoot, Kaukauna; Mary Law, Arlington, Virginia; 12 grandchildren: Benjamin, Andrew and Daniel Bootz; Kelly (Ryan) Siebers; Katie and Kamy Bootz; Susan Sanderfoot; John Sanderfoot; and Jane (Craig) King; Kim Law; John Law; and Lisa Law; two great- grandchildren: Jorden and Hunter Siebers; four sisters: Mary Bergman, Tampa, Florida; Grace (John) Van Rens, Green Bay; Pat Zucca, Roseville, California; Margaret "Maggie" Moyer, De Pere. Kate is further survived by many dear nieces, nephews, other relatives and by her very dear and special friends, Father Stan Kolbusz, Karl Minkebige, Ryan Breyer and the "Culture Corner". She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, eight brothers and three sisters. A memorial funeral liturgy will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2000 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Inurnment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 3 p.m.until the hour of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Kate's name. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Paul Home, and especially to Dr. David Jarvis and his staff. Your concern and compassion for Kate was evident daily.
