  Patricia A. (Gomm) Woods, age 83 of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013. She was born on January 2, 1930, to the late Walter and Annette Woods, and was a lifelong resident of Appleton. She graduated from St. Marys Catholic High School in Menasha and continued to have a strong faith her entire life. Pat was a parishioner at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Darboy and was very devoted to the church. She was always very crafty and enjoyed sewing and knitting very much. Pat was always proud of her Irish heritage and greatly enjoyed visiting there a number of years ago. She was a very loving person and will be dearly missed. Pat is survived by her son, Mark (Mary) Gomm; grandchildren, Sean and Deidre Gomm; brother, Thomas Woods; niece, Colleen Lueck; nephews, Mike Woods and Tim Woods; and Jerome Gomm. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brighid Gomm; parents, Walter and Annette Woods; and sister-in-law, Janette Woods. Funeral liturgy for Pat will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY NAME CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Hours of visitation will be held at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Pat will be laid to rest privately at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff at Grand Horizons in Darboy and Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate care.
