  Ila M. Hoffman, age 90, passed away on June 18, 2008, in Columbia, TN. She was born on Oct. 30, 1917, in Dale, daughter of the late Lloyd and Florence (Van Bussum) Prentice. Ila completed 12 years of schooling in Appleton. She was united in marriage to Leonard Hoffman on June 14, 1947, in New London; until his death in 1986. Some of Ila's hobbies included working in her garden, doing the newspaper's crossword puzzles, knitting and painting figurines. Ila is survived by and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Darlene (Ken) Hoffman, Appleton; grandsons: David Hoffman, New London; and Mark Hoffman, Appleton; grand-daughter, Jill (Michael) Anglea, Appleton; three great grand-daughters: Krista and Amanda Knabenbauer, and Danielle Anglea, all of Appleton; niece Velma (Sig) Krostue, New London; and numerous other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Ila was preceded in death by a brother, Roland Prentice and a sister-in-law, Laura Prentice.Funeral service for Ila will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11 a.m at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Rev. Bil Sutlief officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Cline & Hanson Funeral Home 209 W.
