  Roger L. Stilen, age 79, New London, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at his residence. He was born July 6, 1924 in the Town of Maine, Outagamie County, son of the late Lawrence and Alvina (Balthazor) Stilen. On Dec. 26, 1956 he married Cordell Schimke in New London. She preceded him in death in 1998. Roger was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish. He worked for Fox Tractor in Appleton for over 25 years. He was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Stilen, New London; three sons, Jeff (Laurie) Stilen, New London; Greg (Diane) Stilen, New London; Scott (Lori) Stilen, New London; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Maurice (Joyce) Stilen, Shiocton; Floyd (Mae) Stilen, Florida; two sisters, Violet Fields, Clintonville; Goldie Greshamer, New London. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him. His parents; his wife, Cordell; a sister, Dee; a brother, Ronald; and a grandson, Joseph, preceded him in death. The Funeral Mass for Roger will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
