  Gerald C. Schaumberg, 91, of Seymour passed away Saturday morning, October 14, 2017 at his home. He was born January 20, 1926, son of Gerry and Annie (Pautz) Schaumberg. On October 15, 1949, he was united in marriage to Gladys Wagner. The couple would have celebrated 68 years together today. Gerald was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour and farmed in the Town of Oneida until his retirement in 1988. He served as a Director with First National Bank of Seymour for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Fair Association. Gerald enjoyed playing cards with his card group at Petticoat along with friends and family. His favorite times were spent at Shawano Lake with family and friends. Surviving is his wife, Gladys; children: Grace (Robert) Daoust, Gary (Becky) Schaumberg, Karen (Mike) Schmit, Scott (Sarah) Schaumberg; daughter-in-law, Susan Schaumberg; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elaine Schaumberg. Preceded in death by sons, Bruce, Douglas and Greg; siblings: Marie (Gordon) Bunkelman, Beatrice (Frank) Murphy, Vivian (Marvin) Druckrey, Margaret (Maurice) Barclay, Florence (Herbert) Rucsh, Bernice (Jim) Riehl, Maynard Schaumberg and Dorothy (Carlton) Stellmacher; brother-in-law, Francis Beil. Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, from 4:00 -8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Thursday, October 19, 2017, from 9:30 am until services at 11:00 am with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place in St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
