  MRS. PETER A MELCHER (Theresa Schmieder) Route 2, Black Creek formerly of Appleton, age 90, died Thursday evening at 7:15 after a short illness. She was born May 5, 1886 in Brillion and had been an Appleton resident most of her life. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton; a member of the Christian Mother's Society. Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Lawrence (Ethel) Brockman, Black Creek; and Mrs. Matt (Fleta) Forster, Appleton; a son, Richard Melcher, Appleton a brother, Vest Schmieder, Sheboygan; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, in 1949. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton, with Father James A. Putman officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. There will be a prayer service at 8 Friday evening.
