  Evelyn J. Muenster, 87, Seymour, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 17, 1921, to the late Joe and Emilie (Bolte) Merkel. Daughter of a cheesemaker, she married the late Elmo Muenster in June of 1946 and moved to the farm on County C. She worked for Holidays in Seymour for several years and Seymour Canning for a couple of summers. In 1990, Evelyn and Elmo retired from farming and moved to Appleton, allowing them to do a little traveling. After Elmo's passing, Evelyn moved to Black Creek and later to Meadow Wood in Seymour. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and a good game of Sheepshead. Evelyn was also a member of Freedom Moravian Church and the Friendly Services Circle of the Church. Survivors include a son, James (Ginger) Muenster; two sisters, a bother-in-law and a sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo; one sister, three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law. Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, from 6 p.m. until services at 8 p.m. with the Reverend Jason Andersen officiating and entombment at Highland Memorial Park.
