  Arnold H. Kahler 1520 N. Superior St. Age 76, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday following a five year illness. He was born August 26, 1896 in the Town of Center, where he owned and operated the White Clover Cheese Factory until moving to Appleton in 1929 where he was employed with the United States Post Office until his retirement in 1961. He was a member of the Emanuel United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post No. 38, having been a World War I army veteran, the National Postal Workers Union, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Survivors are his wife, Edna Uhlenbrauck Kahler. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. April 5. 1971. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Allen (Arlene) Kline, Appleton: Mrs. John R. (Germaine) Ethridge. Pasadena. California; three brothers, Ernest, Marion, Ind.; Alvin. Rt. 2. Black Creek; Elmer. Appleton; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Esther) Schmidt; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday from the Wichmann Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell F. Rex officiating. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 3 until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. Friday until the hour of service.
