  Glenn L. Biesterveld, 88, of Eau Claire passed away Monday, July 2, 2007, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born on December 27, 1918, in Eau Claire to Albert and Esther (Johnson) Biesterveld. Glenn served in the military during World War II. He married June Thalacker in Eau Claire on March 24, 1962. Glenn worked as a truck driver until he retired. He loved traveling, fishing, his family and his pets. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Gary) Bauer of Durand and Ruth Drebenstedt of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Gerald G. Biesterveld, John (Sophie) Biesterveld, Cindy (Corey) Hanson, Amber (Jeremy) Sabelko, Eric Soden and Megan Bauer; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews; other loving relatives and friends. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, June; sister, Delores Hosking; brother, Kenneth; and his parents. As per Glenn's request, a private family graveside service will be held. The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is serving the family.
