Peter H. Leis, Sr. 83, of Cashton, died Saturday, Se ptember 29, in Sparta, Wisconsin hospital.Services will be at 11 AM Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Casht on, Rev Patrick Hoffern officiating and burial will be in Pine Hollow Ceme tery. Friends may call from 2- 5 and 7 - 9 Monday at the Torkelson Chapel .Surviving are four sons, George and Peter Jr. Of Cashton, Albert of Kenda ll and Martin of Sparta, two daughters, Mrs. George Brueggeman of Casht on and Mrs. Otto Schaub of Rockland; one brother, Casper of Sparta, One si ster, Mrs. Gus Mantzke of Altus, Oklahoma; 44 grandchildren and 24 great g randchildren. Obituary; Peter H. Leis, 83, of Cashton, lifetime area farmer, died Saturd ay, September 29, at the Sparta hospital after a short illness.Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 2, at 11:00 AM at the Sacred H eart Catholic church with Rev. Patrick Hollern officiating. Burial w as in the Pine Hollow cemetery. Friends called at the Torkalson Funeral ch apel on Monday afternoon from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 with Rosary at 8 PM. He w as born on May 9, 1890 in the town of Jefferson to Mr. And Mrs. Anton Lei s. He married Mary Suhr on May 9, 1916. She died in 1970. Survivors incl ude 4 sons, Albert of Kendall, Martin of Sparta, George and peter Jr. Of C ashton, two daughters, Mrs. George (Mary) Brueggeman of Cashton; Mrs. Ot to (Theresa) Schaub, Rockland, 44 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, o ne brother, Casper, Sparta, one sister, Mrs. Gus (Delia) Mantzke, Altus, O klahoma.
