  HILBERT - Mrs. Andrew Giesen, 74, Hilbert, died Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth's Hospital where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. Elizabeth Reiter Giesen was born December 6, 1870, in the town of Woodville. She was married Sept. 10, 1901 to Andrew Giesen Sr. and lived on a farm in the town of Woodville for 22 years. Mr. and Mrs. Giesen have resided in Hilbert. Survivors besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Andrew Gehl, Jr., Hilbert, route 2, and Mrs. Joseph Hoelzel, Stockbridge; 15 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Peter Reiter, Oshkosh; John Reiter, St. John and Nick Reiter, Menasha. Funeral services will be held at the Eldridge Funeral home and at St. Mary's church here. Rev. Theodore Kolbe will be in charge of services. Mrs. Giesen was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Mary's church. The members will attend the services in a body. Chilton Times – June 28, 1945
