  His remains were moved here in 1961. "One of the earliest native sons and Outagamie County pioneer came home to rest today when the century old bones of Augustin Grignon and seven members of his family were re-buried at Holy Cross Cemetery. "The remains of two others outside the Grignon family also were burried in the common grave and casket. They are believed to be an Indian woman known as born-in-the-Morning and Laurent Fily, secretary and tutor for the Grignon family for many years. Besides Augustin, identification tags indicate the other bones are those of his wife, Nancy McCrea Grignon, the wife of one of his sons, Lawrence, Paul Grignon and wife, his daughter Sophia Grignon Porlier and two of her grandchildren. "All 10 were originally interred in a family burial ground on the first homestead and fur trading post of Augustin, just west of the present village of Butte des Morts in Winnebago County. The bones were recovered more than 20 years ago and have been kept by Geroge Greenwood, funeral director, for the last 19 years awaiting final burial in Kaukauna where Augustin settled in the early 1800s."
