  John "Steve" Ribarchek, 78, Green Bay, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, following a brief illness. He was born March 6, 1930, in Wrightstown, to John and Eunice (Remmel) Ribarchek. On Sept. 3, 1955, Steve married Caroline Irlbeck at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega. Steve served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean War. Following the war, he worked as a department manager for Montgomery Ward for 40 years. He was an active member of St. Joseph Parish and a member of the Holy Name Society. Steve was a 3rd degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #617. He was an avid Packers fan, loved bowling, playing sheepshead, working in his yard and flower garden, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Carol; a daughter, Linda Ribarchek Smith, Raleigh, N.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Mary Beth Ribarchek, Waukesha; a daughter, Laurie Ribarchek (Ferry), De Pere; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Stefani and Natalie Ribarchek, Alex and Sarah Ferry; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Ribarchek, Kaukauna, Donald and Bette Ribarchek, Green Bay; Bernard and Rita Ribarchek, Wrightstown; his sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Gibson, Burlington, Wis.; Gladyse and Henry Goode, Texas; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of Ninth St. and 12th Ave., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Stephen Rossey O. Praem and Rev. John Mullarkey concelebrating.
