  Miss Mary de Jonge, 836 E. South St. Age 78, passed away Wednesday morning at St. Elizbabeth Hospital after a long illness. She was born March 18,1889 in Appleton. Miss de Jonge was a librarian in Menasha retiring in 1956. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Third Order of St. Francis, the Wednesday Club, a charter member of the Town and Gown Club and a member of the American Library Association. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Herbert J. Knight, Miss Margaret de Jonge and Miss Dorothy de Jonge; three nieces; 2 nephews; 17 great-grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon at the Brettschneider-Trettin Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 8 o'clock Thursday evening. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A memorial fund for the St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxiliary has been established."
