  Appleton - Gladys M. Bruhn, of Appleton, WI joined God and her son, and already passed loved ones on, June 13, 2018. Gladys was born September 1, 1931, daughter of the late Elmer and Ida (Bauman) Drews. Gladys was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a strong faith and love for God and she shared that love and faith with everyone. Gladys was a very hard worker. She worked at Zwicker Knitting Mills from 1949-1957. She helped run the family farm and raised five children. She always had an amazing garden, along with being a wonderful cook and baker, as well as her sewing and mending talents. Gladys was richly blessed by God with an amazing husband and best friend, Gordon Bruhn, Sr. who they just shared 65 years of marriage together on June 6, 2018. The 65 years were filled with good times and hard-times and yet through them all, they were always there for each other and always had a strong faith and belief in God; that everything is in His hands, God will be there for them and help them through everything. Gladys is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Gordon Bruhn, Sr.; children: Sharon Martzahl, Nancy (late, Dave) Dalke, Sandy (Frank) Petit, Luann (Joe) Van Thull, and daughter-in-law, Nancy Bruhn (late son, Gordon Bruhn, Jr.); 10 grandchildren and their spouses; 17 great-grandchildren and two more on the way; sister-in-law, Audrey Drews; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Gladys was preceded in death by her son, Gordon Bruhn, Jr.; son-in-law, David Dalke; one sister and three brothers. Friends may call at St. Peter Lutheran Church, N2749 French Rd., Appleton on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday, June 18, 2018, from 9:30 am until services at 11:00 am with Pastor Jim Fleming officiating. Burial will take place in the Community Lutheran Cemetery.
