  Gene Demerath, 54, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 20, 2010. Born on Dec. 6, 1955, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Edward and Ruth Demerath. Gene was a fun and loving person who was always full of life and silliness. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Gene is survived by four children, Leeann Perez, Green Bay; Robert Demerath, Marinette; Branden Demerath, and Monika Cuellar-Trejo and her husband, both of Green Bay; seven grandchildren; five brothers, Tom (Barbara), Ray, Michael (Lynne), Steven (Florence), and Bernard (Karen) Demerath; one sister, Theresa "Terrie" Demerath; special aunt, Marie Blahnik; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his special uncle, Walter Bilquest. Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., Saturday from 12 (noon) to 6 p.m. Funeral service 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Ken De Groot, O. Praem., officiating. Visitation will continue at the funeral home from the conclusion of the service until 6 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Green Bay Police Department, especially Detective Scott Peters. They would also like to thank the 4th Floor ICU staff at St. Vincent Hospital and Dr. Wesley Griffitt.
