  Bernice M. Knapp, age 80, of Hortonville, died on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at her home. She was born on February 9, 1930 in the Town of Saxeville, the daughter of the late Clarence and Linda (Zabel)Bucholtz. On November 15, 1952, Bernice married Maynard Knapp at Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Lind. Bernice was a member of Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church in Hortonville. She enjoyed milking cows and feeding the calves on the farm, vegetable gardening, canning, selling sweet corn, and cooking. Bernice is survived by her husband of 57 years, Maynard, two daughters, Sharon(Jerry)Brockman, Appleton and Debra(Keith)Uhlenbrauck, Mountain, WI; two sons, Gary Knapp (Special friend, Diane), Greenville, and James Knapp, Hortonville; six grandchildren, Becky(Chris)Gibson, Amy Brockman (Special Friend, Chris), Matt Brockman, Kevin Uhlenbrauck, Adam and Kyle Knapp; a sister, Carol(Robert)Magdanz, Pine River; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Kloehn, New London; three brothers-in-law, Don Buchholz, Weyauwega, LaVerne Hertzfeldt, Dale and Robert Merrill, Kaukauna, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bernice was preceded in death by three sisters, Viona Buchholz, Marcella Hertzfeldt and Marjorie Merrill, her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Sylvia Knapp, and a brother-in-law, Elwin (Elnore)Knapp. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church, Hortonville. Pastor Ralph Rosenberg will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Hortonville. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
