  Vera L. Conlon, age 86, of the Township of Maine, Outagamie County, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at the Appleton Medical Center from complications after hip surgery. Vera was born on September 29, 1924, in the Township of Maine, the 6th child of 15 to the late Benjamin and Edna (Sayers) Gunderson. Vera graduated from Shiocton High School and later worked as a bookkeeper at the F.W.D. Corporation, Clintonville. On September 29, 1943, Vera married Richard J. Conlon at The Leeman Congregational Church, Township of Maine. The couple had lived and farmed in the Township of Maine most of their married life. Her husband, Richard, preceded her in death on March 19, 2008, after 65 years of marriage and were blessed with five children. Vera's hobbies included reading, rummage saleing, baking, and traveling on bus trips. Survivors include: her children Joan Hansen, Karen (Harold) Klegin, Daniel (Carla) Conlon, Miranda (Marlyn) Dey and Kenneth (Christine) Conlon, all of Clintonville; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her sisters: Murleen Riehl, Appleton; Erma Tyler, Shiocton; Kathryn (Robert) Wick, Michigan; and her brothers: Harland (Donna) Gunderson, Shiocton; John Gunderson, Appleton; Leon (Donna) Gunderson, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law; Ronald Hansen, Her sisters, Edna "June" Brandt, Carmen Wincentsen, Grace Owen and Lillian "Ruth" Buelow, Her brothers, Earl, Russell, Merle and James Gunderson. A memorial celebration of Vera's life will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2011, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Cicero, N9580 Cty. Rd. X, Black Creek, WI. Julie Dey and Deacon Robert Wick will officiate. Inurnment will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Township of Maine, Outagamie County. Family and friends may gather at the church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established at a later date. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville, is assisting her family with the arrangements. An online guest book may be signed through www.eberhardtstevenson.com
