  Mickey Starck, (Nee Mildred Doris Voss), passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 10, 2015 at age 93. Born Aug. 25, 1921, in Appleton. where she lived all her life. Beloved wife of the late Henry G. Starck. Loving mother of Douglas (Lorelei), Mary (Rick) Griffith, Sue (Phill Moss), dear grandmother of Lindsay (Christopher Elias) and Sarah (Matt) Bridges and great-grandmother of Corbin Bridges. Mickey graduated from nursing school in 1942 and began her career in the maternity ward of Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh. After raising her three children, she became the nurse at Lawrence University Health Center from 1965 to 1992, where she enjoyed meeting so many students and later watching them mature and develop families and careers of their own. She was a resident of Appleton Retirement Community and most recently Island Shores in Neenah. Special thanks to the staff at Island Shores and the Kathy Hospice in West Bend, WI, for their kindness and care. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 209 S. Allen St., Appleton, on Saturday, September 5, at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mickey's name to the Salvation Army, an animal shelter or the charity of the donor's choice
