  Ethel L. Wundrow, age 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Ethel was born October 21, 1919, in Appleton to the late Edward and Agnes (Schmega) Hickinbotham. On June 1, 1941, she married Clarence Wundrow. They lived in the Town of Buchanan their entire married lives until retiring to the St. Paul Villa in Kaukauna. Ethel worked at AAL and Lawrence University. She served as secretary of the AAL Branch 901 at Mt. Calvary and served as secretary of the AAL Federation Board for several years. She also was a dedicated librarian at Jansen Elementary School in Combined Locks. Ethel will be remembered as a loving grandma to all her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching high school basketball and loved her Green Bay Packers. She was a long time member of Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church, where she had served on the Ladies Aid. Ethel is survived by her husband of 70 years, Clarence, Kaukauna; their children, Karen Briggs (special friend Larry Stanton), Sacramento, CA; Kay Klemm (Horst), Bishop, CA; Ken (Debi Shepherd), Madison, WI; Keith (Ann), Menasha; and Kevin (Cindy), Appleton; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Janet Milbauer, Shawano; numerous nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her husband's sister, Hazel Norman, Appleton, and sister-in-law, Myrtle Wundrow, Little Chute. She was preceded in death by a son, Karl, and a brother-in-law, Jim Milbauer. Funeral services for Ethel will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church, N8728 Coop Rd., Menasha, with Pastor Ronald Szep officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisting the family. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Paul Elder Services for all they have done for Mom while she lived there. We would also like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their care and compassion in Mom's final days.
