  Erick M. Schneidewend, age 95, of the Township of Bear Creek, Waupaca Co., passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday May 26, 2011. Erick was born on September 8, 1915, in the Township of Union, Waupaca Co., as the son of the late Paul and Ella (Drath) Schneidewend. He was a farmer his entire life. Erick began farming with Mr. and Mrs. Louie Bonke, and later farmed the home farm for many years. On October 12, 1963, he was united in marriage to Palma "Pat" Stuebs at the Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Bear Creek where Erick was a current member. Pat preceded her husband in death on February 23, 1980. Erick enjoyed fishing and loved taking care of his many cats. Survivors include five brothers: Morbe (Frances) Schneidewend, Neenah; Leo (Special Friend: Pat) Schneidewend, New Berlin; Leland (Florence) Schneidewend, Neenah; Paul (Ann) Schneidewend, Clintonville; Arthur (Carolyn) Schneidewend, Neenah; two sisters: Gladys Reinke, New London; Lila Knack, Bryantown, MD; a sister-in-law, Irene Schneidewend, Gillett. Also many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Erick was preceded in death by his parents,two brothers: Clarence (Magdeline) and Philip Schneidewend, a sister; ReVerna (Bob) Beyer, and two brothers-in-law; Robert Reinke and Robert L. Knack. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 2, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Bear Creek, with Rev. Matthew Ruesch officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Wolf Cemetery in the Town of Little Wolf, Waupaca County. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.
