  Shirley Ann (Spreeman) Baeten, 73, Green Bay resident, passed away May 26, 2011, in Grand Forks, N.D. She was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Breed, Wis., to the late William and Mildred (Lempke) Spreeman. Shirley was a graduate of Suring High School. On May 17, 1971, she married Eugene P. Baeten in Rhinelander, Wis. She was employed by the Appleton Mills for 15 years; Larsen Canning Co. for five years; Dean Foods for five years; and the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin for 17 years. Survivors include her son, John Baeten, Grand Forks, N.D.; three brothers, Verlyn (Beulah) Spreeman, Sr., Suring; Eugene (Della) Spreeman, West De Pere; William J. Spreeman, Sr., Breed, Wis.; two sisters, Margaret (Levi) Mayer and Elaine Schmidt, Appleton, Wis.; and one sister-in-law, Marie Spreeman, New London; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlyle Spreeman and Earl (Sally) Spreeman; one sister, Althea (Floyd) Peters; brother-in-law, Jack Schmidt; and sister-in-law, Jean Spreeman. Friends may call at Christ of the Bay Lutheran Church, 450 Laverne Dr., on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorial Service will take place at 6 p.m. at the church with Rev. Curtis Decoste officiating.
