  Sylvia Gloria Jeske, age 80, of Appleton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 26, 2012. She died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Sylvia was born on August 12, 1931, in Appleton, to the late John and LaBelle (Souixing) DeGroat. She married Arthur Elmer Jeske on October 6, 1952, in Appleton; he preceded her in death on September 15, 1988. Sylvia was a born again Christian. She taught Sunday School at First United Methodist Church. Sylvia loved spending time with her family. She loved country music and was a line dancer with the Country Kickers. Sylvia enjoying wintering in Florida, travel, wildlife, bird watching and shopping. She had a great knowledge of homoeopathic medicine. Survivors include her children, Barbara Jean Jeske, Jay Edward (Paula) Jeske and Darlene Marie Jeske; her grandchildren, Tonya Jeske, Shannon Jeske, Bethany (Jeff) Swanstrom, Mark (Alisa) Jeske, Roxanne (Ben) Sanders, Amy (Jon) Kolosso and Brett (fiancé Liz) Jeske; her great grandchildren, Carson, Grant, Owen and Jena Swanstrom, Parker Kolosso, and Cora and Hannah Jeske; her daughter-in-law, Carol Jeske; and her very special man friend, Ben Costello. She was preceded in death by her son, James Elmer Jeske; her siblings, Laura De Groat, Verna Jeske, Lorraine Shelley Smith, Evelyn Meyer and Edward DeGroat. Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012, at CALVARY BIBLE CHURCH, 1450 Oakridge Road, Neenah, with Pastor Harry Shields officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Aseracare Hospice; and Barbara, Tracy, June, Emmy and Paula K., for their loving care.
