Cyril M. Holtz, 75, of Black Creek passed away Friday morning, May 2, 2014 at Meadow Wood Assisted Living in Seymour. He was born October 7, 1938 son of the late Walter and Leona (Peters) Holtz. On May 27, 1961 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Timm. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2012. The couple farmed in the Town of Black Creek until their retirement. Cyril was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Center. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles (many which are framed and matted), and time spent with his family. Survivors include his children: Tim (Deb) Holtz, Black Creek; Tam (Gary) Coenen, Appleton; Todd (Julie) Holtz, Seymour; grandchildren: Kyle (Abbey) Holtz, Steven (friend Kaci) Holtz, Amy (Mike) Van Handel, Eric (Angie) Coenen, Andy Coenen, Allyssa Holtz, and Taylor Holtz; great-granddaughters: Claire, Chloe, and Raelynn; mother-in-law, Gladys Timm; brother-in-law, Eugene Timm; sisters-in-law: Darley Holtz and Bev Holtz. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, baby Holtz; two brothers: Merlin and Jimmy; and father-in-law Raymond Timm. Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 4-8 PM and visitation will continue on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Center from 9:30 AM until services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeffrey Suhr and Pastor Micah Martin officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
