  Pvt. Co. D 5th Volunteer Regiment Wisconsin Infantry Mr. Houle was a resident of West De Pere. Wisconsin Death Index lists his date of death as above. (1/2/1989 - which prob means 1/2/1899 ) An order for his military marker lists date of death as January 2. 1890 Veterans Schedules list him as suffering from rheumatism and what looks something like dropsy (handwriting is not clear) as a result of imprisonment during the Civil War. Notes indicate he was a prisoner in the Confederate's Libby Prison, Richmond, Virginia.
