  Albert J. Achten, 94, Howard, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012. He was born in De Pere on Feb. 19, 1918 to the late Jacob and Eva (Hibbard) Achten. Albert served in the U.S. Army during WWII with his four brothers. He married Dorothy Angerman on Oct. 9, 1948 and she preceded him in death on Oct. 5, 2006. Albert worked as a contractor in siding and was very good at his craft. Survivors include his children, David (Beth) Achten; Dale (Chris) Christianson; Bruce Achten; Steve (Sharon) Achten; Marsha (Dan) Gajeski; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his parents; one sister; five brothers. Private family services will be held at a later date.
