  Flugaur, George J. born January 10, 1926 died February 23, 2018 at the age of 92. Preceded in death by son James; Parents George and Elizabeth, infant twin brothers; brother Richard; sisters Mary, Elizabeth, Rita, Florence and twin sister Agnes. Survived by loving wife of 69 years, Frances Ann; children Kathryn Kolbo, David (Mary), Thomas (Sandy) and Mary (David) Curtis; grandchildren Jill Thielen, Lynn Beise, Kari Schunk, Daniel Kolbo, Ryan, Joseph, Leann and Matt Flugaur, Susan Voit, Johnathan, Katherine and Jennifer Curtis; great-grandchildren George, Maria and Carolyn Thielen, Sully, Stephie and Sidney Schunk, Bethany and Caleb Beise, Sebastian and Jameson Flugaur; brothers Frank (Lorraine) and Jerry (Maxine) and sister Ann (Norm) Hoffman. After high school George enlisted in the Army Air Force. When he returned he went to the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. He met Frances and they were married in June 1948. George moved to Minneapolis with his family and taught science and math for the Minneapolis Schools, later acquiring a Masters degree from the University of Minnesota and was appointed to various administrative duties. George and Frances enjoyed traveling, dancing, their lake place and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 @ St. Gabriel the Archangel St. John's Campus, 6 Interlachen Road, Hopkins, MN at 11am. Visitation 1 hr before mass all at church. Private interment. Memorials preferred to NC Little Hospice of Edina.
