  Biography	by Margaret Kelly Brennen (Great Grand Daughter of Coleman Clark)
  In 1854 John and Anne Kelly came from Ireland to New York. His naturalization papers state that John Kelly was born in County Cork Ireland about 1802 and was naturalized in Dondge Counnty, Wisconsin 27 Oct 1856. They had five daughters and one son. Laurence (sic) Kelly, the son of John and Ann and Father of Michael Clark Kelly, was also born in Ireland and came to Askeaton, Wisconsin with his parents when he was very young. He married Mary Ann Clark, the daughter of Coleman and Julia (Madden) Clark. Laurence and Mary Ann were married at St. John's Catholic Church at Morrison by Rev. James Lane on 23 Jan 1871. They had four sons and one daughter: Myrtle, who married Harry Beach of Dundas. Michael Clark who married Elizabeth Powers at St. Patrick's Church of Askeaton, John, Thomas and Edward who never married. They made their home at what was known as "Kelly's Corners" where they owned and operated a saloon, dance hall, store and hotel type business. A large scale was used here by farmers as far away as Morrison and Wayside to weigh hay or grains before they were taken and loaded on the Milwaukee Railroad cars at the Askeaton depot. The seven children of Michael and Elizabeth were born and raised at Askeaton, Brown County, Wisconsin. In 1952 after the death of Elizabeth (Powers) Kelly the heirs sold the buildings and property at "Kelly's Corners".
