  Raymond C. Tiedt, 88, of Appleton died Monday January 20, 2014. He was born March 31, 1925, son of the late Frederick and Elsie (nee Stark) Tiedt. Raymond married Muriel Baehman on June 12, 1948. Raymond served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and retired from Appleton Mills. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Muriel; daughter, Beverly Ziegler, Appleton; two sons, Ronald (Bonnie) Tiedt, Verona, and Jeffrey (Debra) Tiedt, Appleton; granddaughter, Sadie Tiedt; two grandsons, Nathan and Jason Tiedt; and a step-grandson, Scott Frederickson; sister, Phyllis Rieckmann, Appleton; and two brothers, Norman (Del Rose) Tiedt, Bear Creek, and Myron Tiedt, Appleton. Raymond was further preceded in death by a brother, Wilmer. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday January 23, 2014 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Judy Deckert officiating, followed by full military honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until the hour of service.
