  Edward Dorn, age 89, passed away following a short illness on March 10, 2015 at Theda Clark. Ed was born on June 3, 1925 to Frank and Della (Van Dyke) Dorn. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army in Japan during WWII. On June 5, 1948 he was united in marriage to Ione Homman at Holy Name in Kimberly. He and Ione made their home in Kimberly for most of their lives. Ed worked in construction for many years until he began working for the Kimberly School District as the maintenance supervisor until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, bike repairs, woodworking, especially making bird houses, helping with materials for quilting, bird watching, and feeding the birds. He was always taking care of Ione and that will be missed. Ed was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Operating Engineers Union, and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Ed is survived by his wife, Ione, his daughter, Carol (Eugene) King, step granddaughters; Christina King, Jennifer King, and Rebecca King, a sister-in-law, Elaine Homman, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Marguerite (Donald) Johnson.
