  Daniel L. Brys, Appleton, age 72, died on Monday, October 12, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born June 3, 1937, to Louis and Laverne (Degeneffe) Brys in Appleton. On October 14, 1961, he was united in marriage to Lynn E. Schreiber in Little Chute. Daniel was employed for 35 years at Roloff Mfg. In Kaukauna. He enjoyed fishing, card playing and the many friends he made through the years as a bartender. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lynn; a daughter, Becky (Vern) Ceder, Ft. Wayne, IN; his mother, Laverne Brys, Kaukauna; and a nephew, Doug Brys, Lake Park, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, his twin brother, Dick, and his wife Yachio Brys. As per Dan's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisting the family. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Appleton Care Center for the care given to Daniel over the past 11 years.
