  John Schreiter, age 78, of Appleton, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008, at Parkside Care Center. He was born July 23, 1930, in Appleton, son of the late John W. and Mercy (Petzel) Schreiter. He married Nancy Lee Walton September 26, 1961, sharing 41 years together before her death on December 28, 2002. He was employed by Midtech/Repap Paper Company for 34 years and retired in 1992. John was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and Kimberly American Legion Post #60. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Scott Patterson, Berlin, WI; Jean and Terry Winter, Chicago, IL; three grandchildren: Kelly, Stephanie and Renee Winter; a sister and brother-in-law: Joan and Duane Engleman, Appleton; two nieces: Debra and Patricia Engleman; and his mother-in-law, Genevieve Pynenberg, of Little Chute.
