  John W. Ort Rt. 1, Hortonville Town of Ellington Age 99, passed away at Appleton Monday morning following a two week illness. He was born June 14, 1874 in Germany and came to this country with his parents as a child, living in this area for his entire life. He was in the construction and farming businesses until his retirement 30 years ago. For the past seven years he resided with his daughter, Mrs. Florence Wunderlich, Town of Ellington. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Florence Wunderlich, Town of Ellington, and Mrs. Fred (Nathali) Buss, Appleton; a son, Donald, Scottsdale, Arizona; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. His wife and a daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First English Lutheran Church, Appleton, with burial in Highland Memorial Park. Rev. L.A. Ziemer will officiate. Friends may call at the Borchardt-Moder Funeral Home, Hortonville, after 3 p.m. Tuesday, until 10 a.m. Wednesday and then at the church until the time of service.
