  Mrs. Gertrude Roehrig, widow of John J. Roehrig, died suddenly Thursday evening at the home of Roman Meyer at Charlesburg The daughter of Matt and Anna Schumacher, she was born at Johnsburg on July 28, 1870. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Odillia Halbach of Marytown; three sons, Edgar and Raymond of Marytown and Ervin of Johnsburg; 22 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a. m. at St. Mary's church at Marytown. The body will lay in state at the home of Ray Roehrig at Marytown from Saturday noon. The Rev. Charles Neu was celebrant, the Rev. Henry Langenfeld, Burlington,was deacon, and the Rev. Benjamin Blied, Johnsburg, was sub-deacon. The Christian Mothers society of Marytown and Chilton attended in a body. Honorary pallbearers were: Mrs. Hilda Casper, Mrs. Jake Schoenborn, Mrs. Alfred Mullenbach, Mrs. Gordon Pitzen, Mrs. Gregor Casper and Mrs. Vincent Halbach. Pallbearers were: Adolph Roehrig, Wilbert Halbach, Herbert Halbach, Ambrose Casper, Lloyd Roehrig and Leander Roehrig. The funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends from Milwaukee, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Plymouth, Kiel, Dotyville, New Holsteln, Chilton and many others from the surrounding communities.
