  Reinhold "Butch" Mayefski, age 83, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011. He was born on April 11, 1928, to the late Joseph and Edna (Hein) Mayefski. On August 8, 1949, he was united in marriage to Arlene Vanden Elsen. After 42 years of marriage, Arlene preceded him in death on December 4, 1991. Butch loved to deer hunt, fish and duck hunt with his children and grandkids. He worked numerous years as pressman for American Co. until his retirement in 1991. He loved watching his grandsons play sports. He watched a grandson get his black belt in karate. He is survived by his children: Sherry (Alvin) Jahner, Shirley Kieckhafer, Joseph Mayefski and Michael (Brenda) Mayefski, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a sister: Sis Asman. He was preceded in death by a brother: Richard and a sister-in-law: Lucille Mayefski; a brother-in-law: Dave Asman and a daughter-in-law: Jessica Mayefski. With our deepest appreciation for the help you gave our father during his illness, we want to thank Barbie and Nikki from Heartland Hospice for all the compassion and love they gave to our dad. We also want to thank all the staff at Alten Haus for the wonderful care they provided for our dad. We could have never made it without all of your help. Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. Also, a thank you to Dave and Part Hartung for all your help during this difficult time. Per Butch's wishes no formal services will be held.
